As part of the research project "Political Processes of the Bioeconomy between Economy and Ecology - Bio-Ökopoli", a political science online seminar on the topic of bioeconomy has been developed at the FernUniversität in Hagen. It has been offered four times between 2019 and 2021 at the FernUniversität in Hagen and the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg. In Hagen, the seminar was aimed at master students of environmental sciences and in Magdeburg at bachelor students of social sciences. It is research-oriented and allows students to conduct their own policy analysis case studies using the theoretical analytical framework "Political Process Inherent Dynamics Approach" (PIDA). This paper gives an overview of the structure and contents of the online seminar Bioeconomy, summarizes lessons learned for the planning and implementation of online courses and gives an insight into the contents developed in the seminar by means of selected sample assignments.
