This article aims for an analytical conceptualization of a post-growth oriented urban and spatial planning, concentrating on housing policy, mobility and regional economy. Taking the current climatic challenges into account, sustainability concepts are of increasing socio-political importance. Too often, the principles of efficiency and consistency take center stage in this process, which is why this article highlights the need for sufficiency and its importance for a sustainable transformation.
