Vol. 46 (2012): Magdowski, Mathias: Vergleich der Einkopplung deterministischer und statistischer elektromagnetischer Felder in Leitungen
Simple models of deterministic and intrinsic statistic electromagnetic fields as well as a plain model of a double wire transmission line are combined to analytically derive closedform expressions for the maximum value of the squared magnitude of the current that is coupled into the line by such fields. The results are valid under the assumptions of transmission line theory for a uniform and lossless line with general load resistances. The derived solutions are generalized for the coupled voltage as well as for the case of a single wire transmission line over a perfect conducting ground plane. Main results are compared with experimental data. The solutions are used to determine the directivity of the coupling of external fields in transmissionlines.Ifthelineisassumedtobeasimpledeviceundertest, theresultscanbe usedtocompareradiatedimmunitytestsindifferenttestenvironmentslikesemi-anechoic chambers, wave guides or reverberation chambers on a theoretical basis by statistical means.
